Nel 1441 re Enrico VI, dopo aver fondato a Cambridge il King’s College, stimola la nascita di un coro maschile, il King’s Choir, che presti servizio nella Cappella del collegio – come peraltro ancora oggi accade. Cinquecento anni dopo, nel 1969, nascono i King’s Singers che, ora passati a una nuova generazione di cantori, continuano a rappresentare nel mondo la formazione vocale per eccellenza.
